A friction sweeper is a Foreign Object Eliminator (FOE) for Foreign Object Debris (FOD). These sweepers are pulled by a vehicle to collect debris using friction and kinetic energy — no motor, no mechanical parts. The SportSweeper™ uses high-durability nylon fibres to disturb debris on and just below the surface, with scoops behind each row that capture and trap everything.
Sticks, twigs, leaves, trash, athletic tape, sunflower seeds, popcorn, peanut shells, small metal objects (pins, screws from equipment), dust, dirt, pom-pom streamers, confetti, and more. The capture rate is second to none.
No — the fine sieve capture zones are designed to collect debris while allowing crumb rubber and sand infill to filter back into the turf. The SportSweeper™ also straightens turf fibers upright as it sweeps, improving the playing surface and extending turf life.
Any vehicle with a standard 2" receiver hitch — golf carts, UTVs/Gators, garden tractors, or larger vehicles. Operating speed is 5–10 mph. When paired with an electric vehicle, the SportSweeper™ operates in complete silence.
